Installation planning
Water Filtration System Installation
Most surprises during a water treatment project are installation surprises, not equipment surprises. Confirming location, plumbing, drain and power before purchase is what keeps a project predictable.
What this treatment does
- Confirms the physical location, clearances and service access for the equipment.
- Documents plumbing modifications, including bypass provisions.
- Plans drain and electrical requirements for systems that need them.
- Produces a written scope so the customer knows what is included before work is scheduled.
What it does not do
- We do not promise same-day installation.
- We do not present a timeline before scope, permitting and material availability are confirmed.
- We do not imply that licensed trade work is performed in-house unless that arrangement is confirmed in writing.
Suitability
Who might consider it
Suitability depends on the property and the supply, not on a general recommendation.
Common situations
- Homeowners purchasing a new system.
- Owners replacing failed or end-of-life equipment.
- Renovation and new-construction projects where treatment can be designed in.
- Commercial sites needing coordinated scheduling.
Information needed before selecting equipment
- Point-of-entry or point-of-use location and access.
- Pipe material and diameter.
- Drain proximity and code requirements.
- Electrical outlet availability.
- Whether permitting or HOA approval applies.
What affects installation
- Isolation and bypass so the property retains water service.
- Correct sequencing where multiple stages are installed.
- Pressure testing and start-up procedures.
- Labeling and customer walkthrough at completion.
- Documentation of what was installed and its maintenance schedule.
Maintenance and ownership
- A start-up date recorded so service intervals are tracked from day one.
- Owner walkthrough covering bypass operation and shut-off locations.
- Written maintenance expectations issued at handover.
What affects cost
- Plumbing modifications and pipe size.
- Drain routing distance.
- Electrical work.
- Permitting and inspection.
- Site access and finish restoration.
Pricing
How ClearCoast pricing works
We don't publish one-size prices because installed cost depends on your property, not on a product page. Every recommendation ends in a written quote you can review before anything is scheduled.
The cost factors for this service
- Plumbing modifications and pipe size.
- Drain routing distance.
- Electrical work.
- Permitting and inspection.
- Site access and finish restoration.
How you get a real number
- You request a consultation and tell us the property type, water source and what prompted the enquiry.
- We confirm the serving utility for your address and review the available water quality information.
- We assess the installation conditions — point of entry, plumbing, space, drain and electrical — on site or from clear photos.
- You receive a written quote separating equipment, installation scope and expected maintenance, valid for a stated period.
- Nothing is scheduled until you approve the written quote; changes to scope are re-quoted, not assumed.
Your written quote lists the equipment, the installation scope, and the expected maintenance schedule separately, so you can compare it against any other proposal. If you would like to discuss payment options, mention it during your consultation and we will confirm what is currently available in writing. Read the installation cost guide for the full list of variables, or request your quote.
Equipment
HALO Water Systems — our main product line
ClearCoast's main product line is HALO whole-house water treatment equipment. HALO designs and manufactures its own valves, tanks and media for whole-home filtration, water softening and conditioning. Additional product lines are added as the catalogue is confirmed.
Model-specific performance and certification documentation is being collected. Until a model's data sheet is on file, we describe what a technology generally does rather than quote reduction figures, and we make no manufacturer authorization claim.
Questions
Installation questions
How long does installation take?
It depends on the system and the site work required. The expected duration is stated in the written scope rather than promised in advance.
Do I need a permit?
Requirements vary by municipality and by the work performed. Permitting is confirmed as part of the scope.
Can a system go outside?
Sometimes, with appropriate protection from sun and heat. Suitability is confirmed on site.
Who performs the work?
The contracting arrangement is confirmed in writing before scheduling. We do not make licensing claims that have not been verified.
Let's find the right starting point for your water.
Tell us about the property and what you have noticed. We will confirm the water supply, explain what information is needed, and outline suitable options in writing.
